Additional Information*	Dr. Hancock is a Chiropractic Physician who specializes in cranial techniques.  He has spent over twenty-five years investigating the relationships between sutural restrictions (both individual and global) and inhibited muscle function. He has identified, in the general population, many compensatory patterns of posture and musculoskeletal function associated with chronic cranial patterns. He has developed specific cranial techniques to release these cranial patterns and the associated compensatory musculoskeletal patterns. The cranial corrections provide long-term improvements in muscle function. The  correction of these cranial and musculoskeletal patterns was the subject of his  Ph.D. dissertation.  His specialization was Nuromusculoskeletal Structure And Function.

Additional Information*	Flo Barber-Hancock’s Ph.D. in Neurosensory Rehabilitation has taken her far beyond her training as a Licensed Massage Therapist and her first career as a certified Special Education teacher.  She has been a cranial instructor and clinician in a busy private practice since 1998.  Using specialized cranial techniques, she provides pain relief and improved function for individuals of all ages.  Flo has taught her FPI cranial techniques in the US, Europe, Canada, and Costa Ria, and looks forward to more presentations around the world.  Dr. Flo spent many years developing the unique therapy – Facilitated Pathways Intervention (FPI) – which culminated in her doctoral dissertation.  The use of kinesiology techniques enabled creation of her “Homunculus of the External Cranium”, a ‘myofascial map’ of the head, face and neck.  It relates specific areas of the head to specific muscles and joints throughout the musculoskeletal body.  The FPI therapy utilizes firm but gentle soft-tissue techniques, which are performed on the head, face, and neck: – areas innervated primarily by cranial nerves.  Muscle-testing, therapy localization, and challenge are essential tools in every treatment session.  The FPI techniques quiet hyperactive nerves, reduce inflammation, promote appropriate balance between antagonistic muscles, and restore function to previously inhibited muscles.  The therapy seems especially beneficial in addressing the chronic symptoms of Repetitive Motion Disorders, traumatic injuries, and vestibular dysfunctions.  FPI is also very effective with certain types of childhood problems, such as torticollis, developmental delays, ADHD, and others. Dr. Barber-Hancock is Co-founder and Director of Education at Hancock CranioSomatic Institute.  In addition to Facilitated Pathways Intervention, her clinical practice and teaching skills include CranioSomatic Therapy techniques, and the CranioStructural Integration protocol developed by her professional partner and husband, Dr. G. Dallas Hancock, D.C., Ph.D.
